Day 6 With Norton 360
OK, I’ve not posted much on this but it seems to work well other than the annoying freakin’ messages that you’ve not bought it. Give me 15 days to try it, on day 12 start telling me ONCE per day. Instead it tells you multiple times per day that you’ve not purchased it… Wow, I didn’t???? Stop telling me that it’s not purchased, i know it. When I’m ready, I’ll buy it and until then, leave me the hell alone!
It seems to be doing OK but the training on the mail is poor…seemed that the older version caught a lot more spam than this thing does. Even something coming in that says [SPAM] in the subject it still allows it through.
Also the backup piece works fine unless you have your mail prog open and it errors out saying that all files were not copied, so you have to make sure you have mail (Outlook/Outlook Express) closed.
That’s all for today on Norton 360 for day 6 (I think it’s day 6…hehe)
Xbox 360 Games
So I got the final achievement in Fight Night 3 of winning and defending my title against my biggest enemy… Big deal… The game isn’t built to do a lot for achievements and I hope that EA works on that for the next release. This game is a great looking game from every angle but the AI isn’t all that great and the commentary is even worse. The graphics department win the award for the game and that’s where it ends. Having to listen to rap immediately when the game starts irritates the hell out of me (it’s disabled after you chose it and load your profile but most games know who you are when you load the freakin’ game). The game was released a year ago so hopefully they work on achievements (like each weight class, etc.) and the audio and maybe find some other music other than the crap in the game. At least it doesn’t have a ton of online achievements for those of us that are hermits. What really irks me is how they left the commentary and in between round commentary out. WTF, first round and you win or he wins and it’s “this is becoming one sided” and the video shows you whipping his ass while they say he won the round or vice versa. I just find this a very poor oversight and there are no updates released to fix this. But EA is a company with a handle on the world and they don’t care how shitty it is as long as it sells based on the (again) beautiful graphics.
I also gave Sonic The Hedge Hog a try this week as a rental. It lasted about an hour… no achievements, shitty save points, poor as game. At least give people a change to get an achievement for finishing the training section and getting the shoes but nope…and I’m not a bad gamer but I failed to get through the first level and there are no options for skill level. This was the worst game I’ve played on the x360. It’s hard to believe that it’s so damn childish that they can’t make achievements easier for kids (let alone me).
That’s all for today on the x360.
